The full program details will be announced at La Biennale di Venezia. Please get in touch to meet in Venice for a talk and for the details on participating artists and institutions.

The program includes presentations, panels, lectures, exhibitions, film screenings, and performances by artists as well as program participation by international and Norwegian art professionals, institutions, artist run initiatives, collectors, museums, and galleries. Different art spaces and institutions have been invited to curate cabins on board.

Our journey begins with a taste of Artscape Nordland guided by the founder and artist A K Dolven, and continues with a presentation of LIAF, Lofoten International Art Festival in Henningsvær. The curators of LIAF, Milena Høgsberg and Heidi Ballet will hold the introduction of this year’s festival.

We board the ship MS Hurtigruten in Svolvær, Lofoten in the evening, and continue sail down the Norwegian coast.

We go ashore in Trondheim to get a taste of the city’s art scene in between presentations and talks on board, with visits to RAKE and Kunsthall Trondheim.

We end our journey in Bergen on September 24, where we will discover the city’s art scene together before the program concludes with a debate at Bergen Kunsthall.

Practical

Travel dates are 21–24 September. Our ship MS Trollfjord departs from Svolvær in Lofoten at 20.30 in the evening of September 21. Recommended arrival date in Svolvær is on the 20th, and recommended departure date from Bergen is on the 25th , in order to enjoy the full program.

It is possible to enter or leave at an earlier or later stage if needed.
